After Hours Services

For patients enrolled to our Family Health Organization we offer After Hours Clinics Monday-Thursday 5-8 pm and Saturday 9am-12pm.  We prefer that you attend these clinics if you need after hours attention. Please call 613 233 6652 and press option 6 for After Hours Clinic details.  THIS SCHEDULE MAY CHANGE DURING HOLIDAY PERIODS.

Appointments

All visits during regular daytime office hours are by appointment only.  When booking your appointment, please notify staff of the reason(s) for your visit so they can book an appropriate amount of time for your visit.   Also, please inform staff when booking if completion of a form or note will be needed.

Missed Appointments

If you miss an appointment without 24 hours notice or a reasonable explanation you will be billed.

Prescriptions and Renewals

Please bring all of your current medications with you to each visit.  Medications are usually prescribed for the maximum time allowable until your physician will need to reassess your condition.

If you require a medication renewal, your first step is to contact your pharmacy.  Do not call our office.  Your pharmacist can send a request for renewal to our office.  This process ensures accuracy of the medication name, dosage and most recent fill date.  It also allows your physician to review your file and confirm if any changes or an assessment are needed.

Medication renewal requests require at least 1 week notice to process.  Please do not wait until you are almost out of your medication.

Lab and Diagnostic Test Results

Due to the volume of results it is not possible to communicate all normal results to each patient.  You will be informed of significant abnormal results and, if required, a follow up appointment will be scheduled.

Specialist Referrals

Before any referral is arranged, patients must see their family doctor for pre- consultation information-gathering and investigations to facilitate a faster and more effective consultation.
