The Ontario Ministry of Health requires physicians' offices to validate patients' health cards at every visit. It is important that you bring a valid, up-to-date health card to each appointment. Refer to Ontario ministry bulletin attached here.

 

Please note effective April 1, 2026, patients who arrive without a valid Health card will be required to pay an uninsured fee for their appointment at the time of service. Please refer to Uninsured fee guide available under policies. 

If you provide updated, valid health card information within 14 days of your appointment, you will be fully reimbursed. Please note that you must return to the office in person for the refund to be processed. 

We encourage all patients to check the expiry date on their health card prior to the scheduled visit.
